Terms of service

pingtest.si is provided by Wells Software Consulting LLC ("we", "us"). By using the site or creating an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The free tools

The ping test, diagnostics and AI status pages are free and provided as they are. Results are estimates that depend on your network, your device and conditions between you and our test node, and should not be relied on as the sole basis for decisions.

Accounts

You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to subscribe.

Monitoring subscription

  • The subscription costs $19 (USD) per month, plus any applicable taxes, and includes the limits shown on the pricing page.
  • New subscribers get one 7-day free trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your payment method is charged when it ends and then every month on the same day until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time from "Manage billing" in your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and monitoring continues until then.
  • Payments are non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@pingtest.si within 30 days.
  • If a payment fails, we may pause monitoring until it is resolved.
  • We may change the price with at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price applies from your next billing period after that.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.

Acceptable use

You may only monitor systems that you own or are authorised to monitor. You must not use the service to:

  • send traffic intended to disrupt, overload or probe for weaknesses in any system;
  • monitor endpoints using credentials you are not authorised to use;
  • get around rate limits, monitor limits or other technical restrictions;
  • break any law or infringe anyone's rights.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, with notice where reasonable.

Your API keys and destinations

When you add an AI endpoint monitor you give us permission to use the API key you provide to send small test requests to that endpoint about once a minute. You are responsible for any charges your provider makes for those requests. Keys are encrypted at rest and deleted when you delete the monitor. Alerts are sent to the email address, Slack webhooks and webhook URLs you configure.

Service availability

We aim to run checks every 60 seconds and deliver alerts promptly, but we do not guarantee that every check will run or every alert will arrive, for example during maintenance, network problems or outages at third parties such as email or Slack. The service is not designed for life-safety or other uses where a missed alert could cause serious harm.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost data or downtime of systems you monitor. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

Ending your account

You can stop using the service at any time. To delete your account and its data, cancel any active subscription and email support@pingtest.si from the address on the account.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects subscribers we will email you before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
